This is particularly significant for neurodivergent young people, who can face a host of challenges when external expectations do not match internal needs. Hannah discusses how teachers, parents and carers can bring more curiosity to the reasons underlying young people’s behaviour and explains how to recognise when ‘poor behaviour’ is actually an attempt to self-regulate.
